New 28mm Manchester Regiment Miniatures
When the Bonny Prince led his army into England. He was expecting the people to welcome him in the streets and free them from the Hanoverian Dynasty. This was not the case. The Manchester Regiment was some of the few that did come out to support him and they formed a Regiment for the army. Under the command of Col Francis Townley most of them were recruited from the Lancashire area and were circa 250 men in strength. They accompanied the army to Derby and the retreat.
